After a long career in fashion retail and a passion for adventure, it was time for Tom and Marie — the founders — to create something new. Experiences in Canada, Africa, Asia and the United States sparked the idea of building a nature-driven hideaway in the Spanish Pyrenees. A place where slow luxury, silence and wilderness come together. Today, that dream is becoming real in Campdevànol, Catalonia.
The moment we stumbled upon this piece of land — Mas Bussacs — we knew it was special. What started as a dream in Belgium has grown into a family-run retreat shaped by three generations of the Vermeylen family: Tom and Marie, their son Quinten and his wife Sylvie with their two children, and their daughter Lara. Together, we welcome guests with warmth, simplicity and a deep love for hosting.
Shared With Five Horses
Seven By Bussacs isn't a typical hotel. It's a luxury nature boutique retreat, quietly nestled in 200 hectares of private forest in the Catalan Pyrenees — and we share it with five horses who roam the land freely. Walk one of our trails, and you might find yourself crossing paths with them; they're as much a part of this place as we are.
Where Movement and Stillness Meet
We believe that luxury and nature can coexist. That's why we've created a space where movement and serenity meet: a private padel court surrounded by forest, and a 20-metre pool designed for both relaxation and active swimming. Everything invites you to reconnect — with your body, with nature, with your mind.
Rooted in monastery minimalism and guided by a genuine love for hosting, we're creating a space where calmness comes naturally, where mornings begin softly, and where nature sets the rhythm.

The Name Seven By Bussacs
We are a family of seven, living and working together on this land, and we built seven rooms to welcome guests into the same harmony we share. The property sits near the famous Siete Gorgs walk, a route shaped by seven natural pools, and the number seven has always been our quiet good-luck charm.
Mas Bussacs is the original name of the finca — a piece of history we chose to honour. Together, these elements form a name that reflects family, nature, heritage, and the spirit of this place in the heart of the Pyrenees.
